A message from AER president Dr. Guy Seeley about our new logo
More than 40 years ago, Dr. Nien Dak Sze and his wife, Cecilia, founded Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER) to help governments and businesses better understand environmental risks and transform leading-edge science into new products and services. Today, our vision is the same, but our scope is wider. This November, we’ll mark the tenth anniversary of our acquisition by ISO, the predecessor company of Verisk Analytics. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we’re refreshing our logo to reflect our vision and our commitment to you, our customers. I’d like to share my thoughts on why we’re updating our logo and what it means to you.
To begin with, it’s an understatement to say that the relationship between AER and Verisk has been mutually beneficial. Many of our collaborative solutions have included combining AER’s globally recognized scientific expertise with the industry-leading analytic tools and software solutions of Verisk businesses, such as ISO, Wood Mackenzie, and Xactware. We continue to work with these businesses to help all our customers assess and plan for environmental impacts and implement strategies to better understand complex atmospheric and space environments.
Our new logo reflects who we are and where we’re going. The logo, which visually aligns with that of Verisk, signifies that our customers have access to the most comprehensive risk management solutions available. The breadth of our scientific knowledge, our access to environmental big data, and our ability to transform that data into decision analytics allow us to effect change in unprecedented ways for our customers in government, the industry, academia, and other areas.
I value your feedback and the deep connections our team has with our customers. We’re committed to offering the best scientific research and technology and to forging even stronger alliances with each of you.
Best wishes,
Dr. Guy Seeley
President, AER
